PEI: 25% Wrong

from CBC News  Island MP’s 3-1 For Same-Sex Marriage

Cardigan MP Lawrence MacAulay is now the lone dissenter.  I’m confused.  Larry wants us to have Ferries, but he doesn’t want them to marry?

(see, what I did there, was I made a "play on words".  See, there is controversy here on PEI regarding cut-backs to funding for our Cardigan area car-ferry service, and there is also a national controversy regarding homosexual marriage.  Homosexuals are sometimes referred to as "faeries".)

I would not be slandering the “faeries” even if I would speak of my fellow men as “fairies” which I would not. Messing with the other side is a hell of a lot more dangerous than mesing with the other side…as it were…if you hear what I am saying…

Alan, I couldn’t comprehend your meaning. Are you saying that there are no gay faeries?

I’ve always wondered about Larry… isn’t he the one who speaks with a ‘lithsp’. If I ever heard a ferry honk, its him…

Some faeries may well fairies, to be vulgar, but not all fairies are faeries.

Seeing as my clan married into the elvish folk in the middle ages in order to (among other things) kick the arse of this here blogmaster’s ancestors, the nature of faeries is of particular import.

    Legalizing same-sex marriages in Ontario

    (smirk, true, offense=homosexuals)

Yesterday on CBC radio the Toronto morning show host was interviewing one of the men who was involved in the court case leading to the legalization of same-sex marriages in Ontario. At the end of the interview, after the interviewee announced his intention to get married that afternoon, the host finished up by saying “well congratulations, it’s a fairy tale come true.”

    Much apologizing ensued.
